Submit

Liebamour is currently open to submissions for Issue 4. We are looking for poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, visual art, and other artistic works that are psychedelic, groovy, hoopy, freaky, ethereal, countercultural, or far out.

Please familiarize yourself with Liebamour by reading a past issue.

Simultaneous submissions are OK but please let us know if your work is accepted elsewhere or becomes unavailable for any other reason.

We do not consider reprints unless their sole previous publication has been as part of a chapbook.

We don’t require a detailed cover letter but we’d like it if you said hello. Please also include a third-person bio of under 100 words with your submission, listing no more than 5 publications.

Psychedelic art
We consider visual psychedelic art in PNG format only. Submit as many pieces as you want as attachments to the below email address with “Visual art” and “Submission” in the subject line.

Short fiction (1,000-5,000 words)
Experimental, literary, or magical realist short fiction–or strongly psychedelic sci-fi. Submit one piece at a time as an attachment to the below email address with “Short story” and “Submission” in the subject line.

Flash fiction (under 1,000 words)
Experimental, literary, or magical realist flash fiction–or strongly psychedelic sci-fi. Submit up to 5 pieces at a time as a single attachment to the below email address with “Flash fiction” and “Submission” in the subject line.

Poetry
For Issue 4 we are especially, but not exclusively, looking for non-verse poetry. This includes, but is not limited to, prose poetry and visual poetry. Get creative, but remember it has to be physically printable. Otherwise, feel free to submit psychedelic, groovy, etc. verse poetry. Submit between 1-5 poems as a single attachment to the below email address with “Poetry” and “Submission” in the subject line.

Creative nonfiction
Issue 3 featured our first creative nonfiction piece, and we want more. We consider creative nonfiction related to psychedelia or counterculture, up to 5,000 words. Submit one piece at a time as an attachment to the below email address with “Nonfiction” and “Submission” in the subject line.

Literary Criticism
Issue 2 featured a brilliant piece of literary criticism by Christina Murphy. We hope to continue this with Issue 4. Submit one piece at a time, up to 5,000 words, as an attachment to the below email address with “Literary Criticism” and “Submission” in the subject line.
